Holding Coaching Classes for Technician Members :

AMIE guidance classes are conducted at The Institution of Engineers (India), Jharkhand State Centre on regular basis at the Institution premises. Classes are being conducted for Section-A and for Section-B Technician members. Since AMIE examinations are held twice in a year i.e. from 1st Saturday of June and 1st Saturday of December every year and hence keeping in view of the requirements, guidance classes are being arranged from January to May for Summer examination and July to November for Winter examination.

Section-A Guidance Class

Section-A guidance classes (for Senior Technician member and Technician members)

For Section-A Non-diploma and Diploma stream students all the four common papers i.e. Fundamentals of Design and Manufacturing, Material Science and Engineering, Computing and Informatics and Society and Environment are regularly taught. Depending on the strength of the Non-diploma stream other papers like Engineering Drawing and Graphics, Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Science, Mechanical Science, Engineering Physics and Chemistry are being taught. Generally classes are held on every Saturday and Sunday. At the end of the session classes are also conducted on Friday.

Section-B Guidance Class

For Section-B, classes are conducted for five branches of engineering i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication. Depending on the requirement and strength of the students guidance classes are arranged for different papers for the above five branches of engineering.

The guidance faculties are from BIT Mesra, National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, BIT Extension Centre, Lalpur, Cambridge Institute of Technology, Tatisilwai and some well experience engineers from renowned organisation like BSNL, CCL and HEC. Some of the faculties are as under:

Er. M. I. Alam is the coordinator for Guidance Class who is also designated as Mentor- student affairs.

Besides  Guidance  Class,  students  are  also  taken  for Technical  Tour/visits  to  various  Industries, Mines  and  Manufacturing Organizations to  have a  first hand practical knowledge  of  engineering/ manufacturing  working  systems. They are also sent to BIT Mesra & HEC campus for  practical  Training  and  are  put  under  referees  for getting specific guidance in Engineering  papers  in  section B  examination.
